I had started writing the script for Mutha Sucka's late last year in the second year of uni. Due to Covid halting all the projects, I decided to put the whole thing on a hiatus. I thought the idea of Mutha Sucka's could be quite an interesting one so I thought restarting the whole project for the initial project would be smart.
In this section, I will show the script and may add notes on the side of it about certain thought processes I had during the writing of Mutha Sucka's. It's not going to be the most extensive note taking as I'll be saving a lot of what I want to say for the evaluation section of the initial project and don't want to copy myself.
This section of the script was written at the end of last year and still features what I named 'Charlie Script'. It's basically unnecessary descriptions that don't add much for the person reading and just bulks up the script length.
This part was written just to highlight the awkwardness of each character. I feel the films, for the most part, aren't realistic how they portray average people.
The final line is in reference to a Belgian film called 'De helaasheid der dingen' (Van Groeningan F, 2009). A quote that had stuck out from that film, particularly to me was...
'Life goes on, that's what makes it painful'
Which is a relatively depressive outlook on life no matter how true you may think it is or isn't. This is why I slightly altered it to make Mutha Sucka's have a more positive ending.
